UCEAP has so many different options, whether it’s your destination, time of year, or subject matter. As a UC student, it is imperative for you to decide you want to go abroad as soon as possible in your academic career. This is so you can make sure to plan your classes ahead of time and ensure that going abroad won’t put you behind in graduating. Personally, I started looking at and researching programs during the spring of my freshman year and didn’t go abroad until the winter of my junior year.

Utilize your Resources

UCEAP provides many services, seminars, and counseling to help you choose the right program. Don’t be afraid to ask for help in order to make your planning experience as easy as possible.

Know What To Expect

UCEAP is a great program to utilize to study abroad through, the resources available on your own campus make it easy to get prepared. In regards to housing information, you won’t have know until you arrive in your home country - which did prove to be an issue. UCEAP Paris works through Accent, which is an organization that provides study centers worldwide for different schools.
